UTM Builder (Webedia MX) is a Chrome extension used to generate UTM-tagged URLs, shorten URLs, and create QR codes for editorial, marketing, and analytics workflows.

1. Information the extension processes

The extension may process the following information:

• The URL of the active browser tab, when the user opens the extension or chooses to use the current page.
• User-entered values such as UTM source, medium, campaign, and custom URLs.
• User preferences and configuration settings stored locally using Chrome storage, such as remembered settings and admin session state.

2. How the information is used

The processed information is used only to provide the extension’s features, including:

• generating UTM-tagged URLs,
• shortening URLs,
• generating QR codes,
• remembering user preferences for convenience.

QR code generation is performed locally in the browser.

3. When information is sent to our server

If the user explicitly chooses to shorten a URL, the generated URL is sent to our shortening service at:

https://wbdx.link/api/shorten

This request is performed only after direct user action.

4. Data storage

The extension may store non-sensitive preferences locally in Chrome storage, including:

• the user’s last selected UTM configuration,
• selected settings for convenience,
• temporary admin session state.

The extension does not use local storage to store sensitive personal information.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell personal data.

We do not share user data with third parties for advertising, profiling, or marketing purposes.

Information is transmitted only to our own URL shortening service when the user explicitly requests URL shortening.

6. Data security

Requests to the shortening service are sent over HTTPS.

7. Third-party services

The extension does not load remote code for its core functionality. QR generation libraries used by the extension are packaged locally within the extension.

8. Your choices

Users may choose whether to:

• generate a UTM URL,
• shorten a URL,
• generate a QR code,
• store their last configuration locally.
